Introducing The Hive … and 21st Century Classrooms

Slate has created an new online forum  – The Hive – to collectively solve modern challenges and problems.  This is a tool for collaboration that we could learn much from.

Today, they are asking readers to give their best ideas to transform American classrooms, keeping in mind everything we know about 21st century technology, design, functionality, and education.  Take a look at the slide show of classrooms already compiled by students all over the country.  Have an idea? Learn to Sew

Sewing classes now offered by our resident sewing artisan and designer, Martha Burns.  She taught and designed some of the classes this past summer, including Trick My Tee, BackPack to School, and the Just Sew Stories series.
